Hiking the AT 4/15/09

Hiked to woody gap today about 12 miles, foot still hurts. Was trying to figure out were I would spend night when I ran into Georgia Troy. He had a camp set up about a 1/2 mile from the woody gap so I spent the night by Troy.

The wind was blowing hard at woody gap but we were out of the wind where we camped. Its always great to meet people as you hike.

Set up camp by Georgia Troy he had already been there 26 days, planned on staying there till the middle of June.The weather is getting better, cool at night nice and sunny during day.
